Since we’re studing Ephesians on Sunday mornings, here is a intesting article on Ephesians 2:4-6 from Chuck Colson’s site.
About Eric Farr
Eric is privileged to be an elder at Grace Fellowship, a husband to an amazing woman (Donna), and daddy to two cool kids (Austin and Savannah). If he had free free time, Eric would probably go fishing, boating, or shoot some amateur photography.

At first, his terminology was throwing me a bit, but in whole, I think the author is touching on the concept that has been passed around at GFC: the means of grace. Prayer, reading of the Word, fellowship, and service I believe were the “on-ramps” for growing in Christ.
The author’s point of singing is a good one (being a musician I am somewhat biased). Singing a wonderful way of capturing all these means at once. Songs from scripture and songs of prayer shared between believers to edify and encourage another deepens our relationship with Christ and each other.

Interesting, Calvin added “the holy life of the minister” as a means of grace. I think he was the only one who brought this one up. Shows the diversity of the landscape on this topic.
