The Devil Went Down to…New Orleans?

Tuesday, September 6, 2005 by Dan Miller 1 Comment

A friend sent me an article showing the battle for truth that now enters the recovery effort in the hurricane ravaged areas.

Did you know that the Devil is involved in “aiding” those who suffered from Katrina? It’s weird. Satan will play both ends of the tragic-meter. He will rain havoc and mayhem, and then turn around and move through the mouth of a Jehovah Witness or other “religious” source. He really doesn’t care how he gets it done; destruction and deception are His game. The Devil has been doing this for years and now he has the playing field full of suckers ripe for the taking. Satan’s representatives are on the ground and the aid comes through ideas of how “God” cares for them and they do too. Very few of those who are battered from Katrina will stop to realize that legitimate help can come through illegitimate helpers.

Enter God’s grace. God in heaven sends His grace to break the back of what Satan tries to accomplish. God redeems those who recognize what all tragedies are – opportunities to repent and turn to Him for help. Churches accross the nation who are committed to God-centered living are making a difference and God wins… again.

Amazing that the atheist guy in that article was against people giving spiritual comfort and encouragement to the victims. Just material and physical needs? With all of the death and destruction? It amazes me how that kind of person can even function with “themselves” as the center of the universe in their own mind. Very very sad indeed!
