graceTALK, August 2005

Sunday, August 14, 2005 by Leadership Team Leave a Comment

The Grace Fellowship Leadership Team answers your questions.

Q1 (2:39): How can you tell the difference between God’s will for my life and my will that I think is God’s will?

Q2 (10:10): What is the most effective way to witness to people that do not believe or “buy-into” II Tim. 3:16? Currently, I try to support why the Bible is infallible and reaffirms itself (i.e. the Old Testament supporting the New Testament, many authors over a long period of time that confirms the author, etc.). Now with the new thoughts regarding the Gnostic Book and the Di Vinci code, etc., more and more people don’t know the facts, etc.

Q3 (15:55): Husbands are to be the “head of the household.” But, what is a wife has a disagreement with their husband’s decision that may affect their children and ultimately their family as a whole? How does a wife support their husband’s decision even when she disagrees?

Q4 (24:48): What responsibility do we have in holding other churches/Christian organizations accountable for actions that are unbiblical?

Q5 (31:01): When I am in situation with non-Christians and they are watching to see how I act in an area of conduct that they think is unchristian, what do I do then? If I do a certain act they may think more of me, but if I do the act it may reinforce a bad stereotype.

Q6 (39:00): What are the doctrinal differences between the Catholic and Protestant Bibles? On what basis are some books included in theirs that are not in ours? Are the differences significant enough to negate the value of one over the other by either group?
