Q1 (2:09): In my walk with Christ, I find myself very stale in my relationship with Christ. I mean I feel distant when I worship. I feel distant when I pray, and Scripture doesn’t seem to sink in. When it happens, what do I do to get back where I want to be in my relationship with Christ?
Q2 (10:29): We say that the title of senior pastor has in many was betrayed the intent of the biblical role of a pastor / elder / bishop within the leadership of the modern church. Still, whenever I run across the term ‘pastor’ in Scripture I always think of the senior pastor of a church. I know that this definition in my mind is cultural but what is its definition when used in Scripture? Specifically I read Eph 4:11-12 and it seemed quite natural to me to fit ‘senior pastor’ in where ‘pastor’ goes. So, what was Paul talking about when he said ‘pastor’? Was it a job like Paul’s or was it stationary with a certain church? Where did this pastor job fall in the heirarchy of the early church and how has the church historically moved away from that blueprint?
Q3 (23:27): During the baptisms last week, why was thee no mention of recieving the gift of the Holy Spirit through baptism as outlined in Acts 2:38? Also, where in the Bible does it mention baptism being a public profession of faith?
Q4 (32:21): The Bible says that those who believe in Christ will have everlasting life, but it also speaks of God’s chosen people, so could I be saved and yet not be chosen? I always wondered ‘what if I get to heaven and I live my life as a Christian and God says I was not one of the chosen people’?
